Girl Scout Gold

As an accomplished Girl Scout, I have dedicated my time to making a positive and lasting impact on my community. In 2020, I earned my Silver Award, focusing on refusal skills for teens. I continued on to achieve my Gold Award in 2023.

Working closely with a conservationist at the Science Museum of Long Island, we created a perineal pollinator garden, establishing a robust habitat for bees, butterflies and other endangered pollinators. After learning how to create a successful garden, I engaged with my community through various events and presentations. I shared the invaluable knowledge I gained to raise awareness and inspire others to join me in safeguarding these vital creatures by planting perineal plants at home and in greenspaces around their community.

This project gave me the opportunity to develop public speaking, project management, and organizational skills. In the future, I will continue to be a steward for the environment.
